New slimline Aquablend TMV extends maintenance intervals while protecting
owners against scald injuries and liabilities

A new slimline Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve has been released by Enware to provide upgraded performance in the delivery of controlled-temperature warm water for healthcare, aged care, schools and all high risk applications.

The new Aquablend 2000 – the flagship of the Aquablend range - delivers a level of improved performance that sets a benchmark against the latest Australian Standard for TMV’s, says Enware Australian Managing Director Paul Degnan.

The new design incorporates revised internal components, resulting in fewer parts and vastly improved service intervals, extended from the present one to five years (the same as Enware’s Aquablend 1000 and 1500 models).

The TMV’s internal structure has been simplified through design from a complex brass cartridge component, originally constructed from   multiple parts resulting in a more streamlined body design, says Enware.

“The new design recognizes that outstanding temperature control of heated water is a vitally important safety issue for domestic, commercial, health, hospitality and industry facilities alike. If exposed to heated water above 60 degrees Celsius, it can take as little as one second for a child to receive third degree burns and require hospitalisation – and injuries and liabilities can be just as severe for workers, guests, patients and elderly people.

“With this issue in mind, Aquablend thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) deliver the world’s highest standard of performance and quality. Aquablend is certified to AS/NZS4032.1 2005 providing Australia’s market leading compliant solution to meet the demands of AS/NZS 3500 for heated water temperature control.”

Aquablend high performance valves are the only thermostatic mixing valves designed and manufactured in Australia. Aquablend safely delivers to plus or minus 2 degrees Celsius under varying temperature and pressure conditions. Safety from scalding and shock is ensured by the thermal shut-off capabilities in the event of cold or hot water supply failure.

The new Aquablend 2000, with flow rates of 38 litres a minute, is an evolution of the flagship model of the Aquablend family of TMVs. It is perfectly suitable for multiple or single fixture outlets, with optional male and female inlets enhance installation versatility. The Aquablend 2000 remains as the premium healthcare preferred TMV for installation where young children, elderly or disabled people use the showers, baths, basins and sinks.

Enware also provides the Smart Flow TMV Monitoring System as a risk management tool for the performance and maintenance of Aquablend TMVs. The networked system constantly monitors the Aquablend electronically, through a calibrated temperature probe installed into the TMV.

It provides engineering personnel with a constant temperature readout and performance status report of all TMVs throughout the facility.
