Enpac’s tough portable bunding systems offer go-anywhere spill protection

Tough portable spill containment systems are being introduced by Enware Safe-Equip to minimize losses of industrial fluids and protect workers against accidents.

The versatile Enpac polyethylene systems are suitable for applications such as chemical drum storage, chemical transfers, disposal of hazardous waste, vehicle maintenance and oil spill cleanups.

They also cut cleanup costs and minimize the risk of slip and fall accidents when used under fuel and chemical storage units in locations such as construction sites, farms, mines and machinery washdown and maintenance facilities.

Enpac’s Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) and drum bunding and racking systems are designed in the US to comply with some of the world’s most demanding packaging and environmental standards for handling, storage and transporting of hazardous materials, says Enware Managing Director Mr Paul Degnan. Units include:

  • IBC2000i™ spill containment unit,. This one-piece 100 per cent polyethylene unit features a 144mm(L) 1420mm (W) footprint  and 3268.7 KG UDL load bearing capacity to accommodate most IBC dispensing units. The 132.44kg IBC200i includes an integrated 19-litre bucket holder for quick easy dispensing. Nestable and forkliftable for shipping and storage when not in use, the unit has a 1457.4 litre sump capacity which meets and exceeds the requirements of the US EPA 40 264.175.

  • Poly-Rack System™ for safer dispensing and storage of drums. Components of this system include lightweight (54kg) Poly Racker base with patented enclosed 387.6 litre sump; Poly Stacker system (25kg) that can be used with the Racker or to store up to four drums on a Poly-Slimline 6000 pallet; and Poly Shelf system that easily attaches to the Poly Stacker for safe simultaneous drum dispensing.

  • Drums-Up™ incidental spill protection units which offers temporary protection from incidental barrel spills.   Accommodating drums up to 205 litres, it has a 74.1 litre sump capacity. Drums-Up Jr™ has a 28.5 litre sump for smaller containers.

  • Poly-Spill Cart™ With a load-bearing capacity of UDL 225kg and 216-litre sump capacity, the cart is designed to reduce the risk of spills when moving drums.

Enpac spill containment bunding and racking systems are part of a comprehensive range of spill containment, environmental and worker protection products from Safe-Equip, including multiple drum spill pallets and workstations.

Mr Degnan says the Enpac range is unique in Australasia because it brings together in one system a complete range of solutions to materials handling issues commonly arising across a broad spectrum of industrial applications.

“The world-respected Enpac systems not only reduce worker exposure to accidents and company exposure to liability, but also they reduce materials costs by reclaiming spillage, reducing disposal costs and enabling workers to boost productivity by moving more product more quickly.”
