New portable spill-containment products that protect the environment and workers from hazardous chemicals have been introduced by Enware Safe Equip
The products - described in the new Enware Safe Equip catalogue – are manufactured by one of the world’s leading suppliers of spill prevention, containment and control products, Enpac.
“Our product solutions can secure your profits and ensure you protect both the environment and your workers,” said Enware Australia Pty Ltd Managing Director Mr Paul Degnan.
Among the containment products in the catalogue is the portable Stinger Berm for immediate large-scale spill response. It has a fuel and chemical resistant containment area, as well as excellent tear and puncture resistance for the most demanding application or terrain.
With an easy to assemble snap-up design, Stinger Berm comes in various sizes and has a generous sump capacity ranging from 299 to 601 litres. In folded form, it is easy to store and transport.
Accessories include a ground pad that goes underneath the berm to protect the underside from punctures, rough terrain or truck wheels; and a Tracmat that is placed inside the berm, allowing trucks to enter without punctures or tears.
For true drive-in and drive-out capability, Enware has introduced the portable
Stinger Snap Foam Berm with sidewalls that snap back automatically into the upright position after being driven over. The end sidewalls incorporate high strength connectors and a two way air-relief system that facilitates automatic entry and exit.
The Stinger Snap Foam Berm is available in various sizes. Typical dimensions are
3.05 m long by 7.92 m wide by 30 cm high with a massive sump capacity of 7358 litres.
If a portable lightweight pallet is required to prevent spills, the Stinger Yellow Jacket is the answer. It folds up and can be carried anywhere.
Made of strong vinyl coated polyester for resistance to chemicals including battery acid, the Yellow Jacket has unique snap-up supports that create a sturdy sidewall when the unit is opened. Two sizes are available with sump capacity of 302 litres or 681 litres.
For convenient temporary material storage, Enpac’s SpillPal provides spill control for drums, machine parts, tanks and generators. It can also be used as a washdown pad or pumping station.
SpillPal’s different models store anything from a single drum to eight drums or two IBCs. Sump capacities range from 37.9 litres to 302.8 litres.
No ramps are required for SpillPal, as the containment device has flexible sidewalls that spring back to form, allowing easy drive-in and drive-out access with a hand truck or forklift.
Enware has also introduced Prowler Pop-up Pools, which are the easiest and lightest spill containment pools available, being half the weight of comparably sized PVC pools while offering twice the strength.
They offer excellent resistance to the widest range of chemicals, acids, fuels and other hazardous materials. They are also resistant to abrasion, punctures, UV rays and temperatures down to minus 50oC.
Prowler Pools are excellent for immediate spill response, being compact, light and portable. They fit easily into spill response kits.
For draining off water while also capturing contaminants, the Bazooka filtration system has a trickle filter that allows a water flow rate of 75 litres per minute. An automated detector system shuts off the filter when it detects hydrocarbons such as diesel fuel. Imbiber Bead technology then takes over, capturing the organic substance in the filter.
Bazooka has an installation kit that allows easy field installation of the filtration system in a containment berm in just minutes.
Mr Degnan of Enware Australia says the Enpac range is unique in Australasia because it brings together in one system a complete range of solutions to materials handling issues commonly arising across a broad spectrum of industrial applications. The Enware Safe Equip catalogue also contains a board range of spill solutions that include salvage drums, dispensing units, spill pallets and drum workstations.
Enpac is the world’s leading manufacturer of plastic spill prevention, containment and control products. It has over two decades of experience in delivering performance and best value in design engineering and production capacity.
