A tough, light and ergonomic mobile dispensing station for 205 litre drums from Enware Safe-Equip is engineered to provide optimum protection against slip, fall and lifting injuries.
The Enpac Poly-Dolly® not only provides 24-hour protection against spills and leaks of industrial fuels, chemicals and hazardous fluids, but also features thoughtful design to protect workers moving drums around industrial plants.
Weighing just 44.5 kg but with a load-bearing capacity of UDL 270kg, the Polly Dolly is part of Enpac’s comprehensive range of advanced dispensing, spill pallet, portable containment, drum storage, drum bunding, drum racking and drum workstation systems designed to help combat slip, fall and trip accidents that now account for more than 25,000 new workers compensation cases a year in Australia.
“Not all mobile dispensing stations are the same,” says Enware Managing Director Mr Paul Degnan. ”With all market leading products, there are always imitators, but the Enpac range has many design features that imitators cannot match.
“Outstanding among the features that separate the Poly Dolly – and indeed the whole Enpac range of outstanding spill containment and dispensing solutions – are the design that has gone into the spill systems protecting the workers who are using them.
“The Poly Dolly’s ergonomics are ideal, from the easy loading and dispensing procedure to the easy wheeling design. This ensures workers involved in mobile dispensing use their correct major muscle groups to support and propel the load from a correct distance, rather than straining smaller muscle groups by being hunched over too close to the load. The rolled-grip handles make for easy tipping and transportation throughout the workplace. It means mobile dispensing is no longer a cumbersome, risky business.”
Easy loading of the Poly Dolly is facilitated by a U-shaped barrel platform and double-looped strap. A lightweight design, kick plate and rolled-grip handles make for easy and safer tipping owing to its unique ergonomic design.
The Poly Dolly – with easy roll 25cm polyolefin wheels and patented large 304-litre covered sump – is designed to replace standard drum cradles and dispensing stations that are potentially hazardous to staff and the environment. The patented large 304-litre covered sump means that if a spill occurs within the Poly Dolly mobile dispensing system, it can be safely removed and decanted.
“Other mobile dispensing systems with open sumps would find this task difficult to perform. They would be similar to a wheelbarrow full of liquid in that, when the open sump system is lifted, the liquid in the sump could flow over the sides.
“Poly Dolly, the multi-functional two-wheel dispensing station, replaces age old drum cradle technology with added safety features including easy loading, mobile dispensing capabilities and total liquid containment,” said Mr Degnan. “Poly Dolly transports 205 litre drums with ease, tilts to become an efficient self-dispensing station and acts as its own secondary containment unit. By removing unnecessary and dangerous drum handling, Poly Dolly protects workers, improves efficiency and helps improve profits.”
Made from long-lasting virgin high density polyethylene for maximum chemical resistance with added UV inhibitor, the Poly-Dolly robustly withstands daily bumps and scuffs and will not rust or corrode. A cover is available for outdoor operation and an all-terrain wheel option is available for applications demanding this versatility.
Poly-Dolly is part of the extensive Enpac safety range distributed by Enware Safe-Equip to minimize losses of industrial fluids and protect workers against accidents.
Enpac’s systems are designed in the US to comply with some of the world’s most demanding packaging and environmental standards for handling, storage and transporting of hazardous materials.
