Enpac’s portable berm systems focus on spill protection and containment

New ranges of tough and portable berm systems are being introduced by Enware Safe-Equip for spill prevention, containment and control of hazardous fuels, chemicals and liquids in construction, mining, transport and general industrial applications.

The easily erected Enpac berm and complementary Enpac Storm Sentinel drain and erosion protection products are designed by the internationally respected Enpac Corporation to protect workers and worksites against accidents, safeguard against pollution and minimize losses of industrial fluids.

They are part of the broader ranges of Enpac systems distributed by Enware Safe-Equip for applications such as chemical drum storage, chemical transfers, disposal of hazardous waste, vehicle maintenance and oil spill cleanups.

Complying with some of the world’s most demanding standards for handling, storage and transporting of hazardous materials, the new ranges include containment berms for use beneath:

  • Beneath equipment left overnight containing fuel
  • Beneath small fuel tanks
  • Beneath generators with fuel tanks
  • And for chemical containment and holding.

Enpac Stinger Berm™ models are available in a wide range of sizes for large-scale spill containment. They feature excellent rip, tear and puncture resistance for demanding terrains or applications. The easy-to-assemble berms also feature snap-up design for immediate response to containment needs, while also offering compact storage and transport. A super-tough ground pad protects the berm from truck wheels or rough terrain, while a Tracmat™ allows trucks to drive in and out without berm punctures or tears.

Aire-Stinger Berm™ allows for one-time setup and then continual drive-in, drive-out, use, without ever having to set down end sidewalls. The foam sidewall system consists of urethane encased in a fuel/chemical-resistant membrane cover. The sidewall design incorporates high-strength connectors and a two-way air-relief system that facilitate automatic entry/exit without assistance.

Complementary Storm Sentinel erosion control products protect drains that can carry run-off and may contaminate surface water.

The new systems also cut cleanup costs and minimize the risk of slip and fall accidents when used with fuel and chemical storage units in locations such as construction sites, farms, factories, mines and machinery washdown and maintenance facilities.

Enware Managing Director Mr Paul Degnan says “Enpac spill containment berms, bunding and racking systems are part of a comprehensive range of spill containment, environmental and worker protection products from Safe-Equip, including multiple drum spill pallets and workstations.”

”The Enpac range is unique in Australasia because it brings together in one system a complete range of solutions to materials handling issues commonly arising across a broad spectrum of industrial applications.”
