A new boutique residential care facility that offers the best in aged care has chosen Enware Australia bathroom and washroom products that meet the care guidelines while presenting stylish, user-friendly design.

Domain Gracedale in Ringwood North, Victoria, opened in August 2012 with 50 large private rooms all with ensuites, catering for low or high care.

The Enware Australia ensuite package includes:

  • Ifo Sign Basin 770 with large vanity surfaces at the back and side of the wash basin
  • Oras SLM basin mixer with Vega handle
  • Ifo Sign increased height toilet, for those who can’t easily sit down or stand up
  • Ifo Cera arm support system, including in-built call button
  • Oras SLM shower mixer with Vega handle
  • Enware shower grab rail
  • Safety towel rail

“The residents love the ensuites, they’re really taken by them. The arm supports built into the toilets are the best thing for them. Toilets in the ensuites are angled at 45º to the wall, so they’re easy to fit a commode chair over. The fit-out adds to the luxury feel of the facility,” said Trevor Winter, Manager of Domain Principal Gracedale.

“I would definitely recommend the ensuite package to architects and others intending to install bathrooms in this type of facility.”

Domain Principal Group is Australia’s leading aged care provider, with 57 residences nationwide. The Group says “The new Domain Gracedale offers the best in boutique aged care, featuring accommodation designed to maximise your personal space and privacy and give you peace of mind with all the security of a residential aged care setting.”

The new facility has installed a considerable range of Enware products, according to Enware Representative Claus Oustrup.

“The architects for Domain Gracedale chose Enware products because they were modern, space-saving and fulfil the class 9C, OH&S and infection control requirements.

“The professional ensuite solutions boast generous vanity lay-off space, shower commode chair access over the WC and under the wash basin, and is fully wet resistant. The water-saving WC that has no need for a wall structure because the seamless cistern acts as a back rest and is bolted onto the pan.

“We aimed to achieve a modern but timeless package that meets the Australia care guidelines for Class 9C residential aged care, along with a complete commercial solution for all wet areas within the facility. We achieved installment across the facility with full regulatory compliance, plus appealing and user-friendly design,” Mr Oustrup said.
